This 3-Position Switch (Open, Run, Stop) is recommended as an easy method for shutting down all AIR Turbines (a switch is included with all AIR Breeze Turbines, sold separately for other AIR Turbines). This switch is "triple sealed" with a flexible acrylic coating, a T5 clear vapor seal and a toggle boot cover, making it super heavy duty. The switch is DC rated to 50 amps, allowing you to "stop" the turbine. In the Up position, the switch allows the turbine to operate in battery charging mode. In the Down position, the blades will stop spinning (in high winds the blades may continue to spin slowly) and will not charge the batteries. This process does not cause any damage or additional wear on the unit.
