The Tigo 492-00000-51 RSS Transmitter Kit provides the essential signaling required for a fully compliant rapid-shutdown system when paired with Tigo’s UL-listed Fire Safety solutions, including the TS4-A-F and TS4-A-2F module-level units. This transmitter sends a PLC (Power Line Communication) keep-alive signal that allows TS4-F devices to keep PV modules energized during normal operation. When the transmitter loses power, the TS4-F units automatically initiate rapid shutdown, ensuring immediate module-level de-energization for enhanced safety and NEC compliance.
Equipped with Pure Signal technology, the RSS Transmitter Kit supports linking multiple transmitters together to deliver a single, coordinated keep-alive signal across large or complex arrays. This improves signal integrity, reduces interference, and ensures reliable communication throughout the system.
The kit meets NEC 2014, 2017, and 2020 (690.12) rapid-shutdown requirements using PLC communication and is designed for straightforward installation in residential and commercial PV systems. It is available in multiple configurations to support different installation needs, including Pure Signal versions for multi-transmitter sites, DIN-rail mounting options, and PCBA versions for inverter integration.
