The Tigo 490-00000-51 RSS (Rapid Shutdown System) Transmitter is single core and provides the signaling required for a complete, cost-effective rapid-shutdown solution when used with Tigo’s UL-certified Fire Safety products, including the TS4-A-F and TS4-A-2F module-level units. It delivers a PLC (Power Line Communication) keep-alive signal that allows TS4-F devices to keep PV modules energized during normal operation. When the RSS Single Core Transmitter is powered off, the TS4-F units automatically initiate rapid shutdown, and they resume energy production as soon as the transmitter’s power is restored.
Equipped with Pure Signal technology, the 490-00000-51 RSS Transmitter can be interconnected with additional transmitters to provide a single, coordinated keep-alive signal across large or complex arrays, improving signal integrity and system reliability. The solution meets NEC 2014, 2017, and 2020 (690.12) rapid-shutdown requirements using PLC communication and is available in multiple formats—including Pure Signal versions for multi-transmitter sites, Kit configurations, DIN-rail mounting, and PCBA options for direct inverter integration.
